While I was in Norman, Oklahoma I had the opportunity to work as a volunteer on the new Food Network show American Diner Revival. The crew was a wonderful blend of hard workers and people on a mission to help revive and give new life to classic diners. I was honored to be a part of the renovation.
I got to work on a wide variety of projects in the two days with the show…loved what they did with reclaimed wood design around the bar…just by use of old pallets cut down and layers in a unique clean line design.
From staining to sealing and cutting to carrying…there was never a dull moment on set of the new show featuring hosts Ty Pennington and Amanda Freitag blending their two passions beautifully of creative design and culinary expressions.
Check out the show and enjoy the season -the show premiers Friday, May 22 at 10:30 / 9:30c. There are 6 episodes where towns come together to revive old loves and surprise the owners! see more of my behind the scenes pics from the work days: http://bt2bt.smugmug.com/Diner-Revival-Food-Network/i-kkpNk4m
